DUE to the current coronavirus pandemic, we have moved to a single, online-only morning service. this can be found on youtube every Sunday morning at 10:30am.
Below you can see a description of what our regular Sunday gatherings were like before the pandemic.
We hope to be able to meet again in person soon!
OUR SUNDAY SERVICES START AT 10:30am & 6:00pm
If you are thinking of coming to see us on a Sunday then here is some information on what you can expect on your visit to one of our Sunday services here at HBC.
THERE IS A SERMON – TO INFORM OUR MINDS & INSPIRE OUR HEARTS
The bible is central to all we do here at Horham, so we spend a large portion of our Sunday services looking at it together, discovering what it means for us today. This is most often led by our pastor Adam, but on the weeks when Adam is away our services are led by one of the other churhch leaders or by a visiting speaker. We use lots of mixed media in our services to help us engage with what is being spoken about.
Our sermons are available online, so you can listen anytime.
THERE IS SINGING –
As a congregation we engage in singing as an expression of our love for God & His Son Jesus, as well as our thankfulness for all God has done for us. As a church, God has blessed us with lots of very gifted musicians who, as a band, lead us in worship songs with a variety of instruments. By singing to God with each other we can prepare our hearts and minds to hear the word and to respond to that word.
THERE IS PRAYER – FOR EACH OTHER AND FOR THE WORLD AROUND US
We always have times of prayer when we can thank God for all He blesses us with, times when we can ask God for help and for guidance in the different situations that we as a church and as individuals are facing. These times are led either by the preacher or a member of the congregation.
THERE IS GREAT COFFEE!
After our services we meet for drinks & snacks whilst having a chat in the side hall of the church building. This is a great chance for us to get to know any new faces or to catch up with those a part of the HBC family.
