A Gospel-Centred Community

What are Sundays like?

OUR SUNDAY SERVICES START AT 10:45am & 2:30pm

If you are thinking of coming to see us on a Sunday then here is some information on what you can expect on your visit to one of our Sunday services here at HBC.

WE TEACH & PREACH THE BIBLE TO INFORM OUR MINDS & INSPIRE OUR HEARTS
We love the bible here at Horham, so much so that we spend a large portion of our Sunday services looking at the bible together. Our Pastor Adam will preach & teach the bible for us or a speaker from another church might come for a visit if Adam is away. If you come to a service at Horham you may learn some things on how to have a better marriage, how to enjoy life more or how to be a better person but our greatest hope is that you will get to know Jesus. The truth is that the only way we can truly have a better life is by getting to know Him and understanding the reason why He came. We use lots of mixed media in our services to help us engage with what is being spoken about.

All our sermons are online, so you can have a listen for yourself if you like!

THERE IS ALWAYS A TIME TO SING OR LISTEN TO OTHERS SINGING!
At Horham we love to sing as an expression of our love for God & His son Jesus, as well as our thankfulness for all God has done for us. God has blessed Horham with lots of very gifted musicians that lead us in these songs, either on the piano & organ or via our band of guitars, drums and other instruments. Our singing is part of the way in which we prepare our hearts and minds to hear the word and to respond to that word. Don’t worry though, you won’t be expected to sing to us all, in fact you don’t even have to sing at all if you don’t want to!

WE PRAY WITH EACH OTHER, FOR EACH OTHER AND FOR THE WORLD AROUND US
We normally have times of prayer during our services, times when we can thank God for all He blesses us with, times when we can ask God for help and for guidance in the different situations that we as a church and as individuals are facing. These times are led either by the preacher or a member of the congregation, but don’t worry you won’t be expected to pray!

THERE IS ALWAYS TIME FOR A HOT DRINK, A BISCUIT & LOTS OF CONVERSATION!
After our services we meet for drinks & snacks whilst having a chat in the side hall of the church building. This is a great chance for us to get to know any new faces or to catch up with those who we regularly see.
